Questions.

Do you have INFO file to include in upload or are you entirely reliant on just using password as means of advertising LOTD?

Also will you (or whoever) list the uploads onto ddl sites such as Katz, Phaze, etc in order to generate more downloads?

Are the 30 day RS accounts genuine or hacked? If they are hacked then it would require migrating downloads each time the account is expired thus adding more work for the up loader's therefore waste of time. If genuine then make life easier but LOTD get the RS credit rewards. So can up loader use own account thus generating such credit rewards for themselves, make it more worthwhile if many downloads?

Also what exactly does the term "Your qualification will give you free VIP access if you become a good up loader" this implies that you are not given this reward until such time as someone decides that you meet some unknown criteria which has not been made clear, and thus up loader will never know full criteria for to gain this reward.

Not being picky here, but questions are genuine, before I would consider applying for up loader. I was up loader for another site, but retired in December due to it becoming silly game of spamming sites with pass worded downloads advertising site I was up loader for which got me banned from a couple of sites as advertising other sites in passwords are not permitted, thus I would not go back to just using pass worded uploads, but would prefer INFO files to include in rar.

 I am sorry you feel so left out but if you had any knowledge of uploading you would realize the situation with rapidshare and hotfile.


 They have shut down 90% of uploader accounts on all boards and we just don't have time to reply to someone who has done nothing but complain about others who asked to be uploaders.

 You are free to move on to another forum. We are happy with our little forum and feel it has been growing at a reasonable pace. Until RS & HF started dumping accounts questions were being answered quickly.

 So I hope you find somewhere you feel more appreciated for contributing nothing to their board but complaints.

Dear Lairs of the Dragon.

I'm not very techie minded, so please be gentle with me if I say anything stoopid here!

When I go online, my speed comes up as 5.7 mbps, so I suppose that's what my upload speed is.

I'll happily upload all I've got, which ism't much, a ton of New Age music, Windows 7, a bunch of movies, that's about it. I don't really do games, just play a couple of online ones and use my computer for business really. I've got a blue Microsoft Office if that's any help, and a bunch of music software including an excellent notation package called QSE Elite (can upload it with a pile of good VSTs already in with it so the downloader has a bunch of good quality sounds to get started with).

That's about it, really. Is any of that any help? I don't want to take rapidshare accounts and stuff off you, I'm not doing it for that, it's just I've got good stuff off you in the past and wanted to do a tiny bit to help out.

E-mail me and say if you want any of that. I've got other music apps. which I've downloaded - Reason 4, Sampletank with Miroslav Orchestra - but they're ones I've downloaded from Rapidshare Library so I don't know if it's OK or if there's any point in re-uploading them, you tell me. If you want me to, I'll do it.

By the way, if RS are getting annoying I can upload stuff to 4shared and leave the links here to them, they seem to be OK about stuff. I do want to help, I just wish I had more stuff to help with.

 Thanks for the offer but at the moment we do not have a rapidshare file to do uploads. RS has taken them. So be patient until we decide which direction we will be going.

I guess when this post was made it wasn't clear So maybe I can shed some light on uploader.


 The purpose of having uploaders is to have points build for the site so we can share free accounts with our members and pay for the accounts we use. The uploader would use our account to upload and to download whatever they liked. In some instances uploaders were allowed to post uploads from their account so they also could acquire points to receive free accounts.

 Since Rapidshare closed and Hotfile does not have a protection lock so the account can not be hijacked we are at an impass at the moment.

 We have plenty of posters for the forum giving the site a large content of new and useful material.

Sorry, I flat didn't understand that, you're right! I thought you just wanted to have someone to put stuff up so there was something for other people to download! To be honest, Rapidshare didn't seem particularly safe as far as stuff not being hijacked went, I mean you've got Rapidshare Library and Rapidshare Search Engine, both sites letting you search and download stuff without regard to whichever forum they came from. So the only truly safe way, to me, is to use a password because the search engines, which mass-leech stuff from forums, can't find passwords. I've never seen Hotfile search engines - there might be some, don't kow - only Rapidshare ones under various names. So I guess I thought that if an RS account NOT under the forum's jame was used, it would make it harder for the specialised search engines to find stuff.

I am sorry I misunderstood. I just thought that as I'd downloaded stuff from here that had literally saved my business, which is only tiny but means a lot to me, I was trying to give a bit back. I had a mental picture of a forum with nowhere to store anything, which is why I offered. It wasn't the actuall stuff I could upload, I thought I could offer a place for stuff to be stored until the problem was sorted.

I expect there's reasons I don't understand for not doing the following, but if you don't have a static IP then Rapidshare can't check whether you're on its banned list as far as I know, because that is, I think, how its checker works, off IPs. Maybe use a proxy server for uploading, or one of the excellent IP hider softwares I myself use at times?
